How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
"My life has been different in that, I'm living a much more healthy life after a successful operation that i went through with the help of the transfer I received from Give directly."
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
"Give directly has done well in giving out the cash transfer that has enabled many to erect permanent buildings in my community which has improved where they live in. On the other Give directly has done nothing wrong."
What did you spend your second transfer on?
"I spent my second transfer for buying a motor bike at 1,000,000ugx as a top up, paid school fees for my children at 306,000ugx, bought medicine for treating myself at 260,000ugx and the remaining balance was spent for buying the windows for my newly constructed permanent house."

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to pay school fees of 40,000ugx, i bought two pigs at 70,000ugx. I have the balance of this money and i intend to use it for paying a deposit of a motocycle that will help to transport my family members to hospital incase any body falls sick. Most of the time this motocycle will be doing bodaboda business and it will be a source of income to the family.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment i received the mobile money message i became very happy. I was excited that i just had to wake my husband up to see the message.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that i managed to pay my child's school fees with ease. When i buy the motocycle, it will be the source of income for livelihood and i will struggle no more with life. Am so grateful to Give Directly.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i have faced is lack of money for educating my children. I have three children at secondary school level and it is costly to cater for all their education needs.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest moment comes in the evening after seeing my children return back from school.This is the time i share interesting stories and advice with them.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means educating my children. This money will help cater for my children's education needs like school fees, books and pens.
