How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
There are things that I own that I could not own earlier because of my low income from casual work. I have been able to furnish my home as I was able to buy household items. I can also buy food easily and dedicate my other earnings to other projects. I have saved and bought building materials. This has been possible because of GD transfers.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have a goal of saving towards paying a dowry for my wife. I got married two years ago and because of low income from casual work, I have never managed to pay dowry. This has cost me my relationship with my in-laws and I would like to amend it before it is too late.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have a vision of owning a house in the near future. I saved the transfers over time and bought building materials such as iron sheets, timber and nails that I plan to use in building the house. Before the transfers, I did not know I could be able to buy all these due to my low income. Thank God for GD I will finally have a new house.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to have built a new house that would be the envy of the entire village. I want to use part of my transfers to buy building materials such as iron sheets and timber to put up a new home.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I have been able to lease a farm and ventured into farming to help my family change their livelihood. My family solely depend on farming to help in the provision of food and also finances as we can sell the surplus to get daily income for our upkeep. We can also get nutritious food for the family through the produce we get from our farm.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I look forward to saving and leasing more farms to expand my farming to help raise income for the family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the fact that I have been able to save and buy building materials like iron sheets a, nails and poles that I plan to use in building a new house as I have a thatched house that leaks whenever it rains. GiveDirectly has enabled me to fulfil my long term dreams come true. I look forward to owning a beautiful house.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to buy more building materials like iron sheets and nails then build a new house as I have a thatched house that leaks whenever it rains. I also wish to buy livestock that I will use to pay for my wife's dowry. I shall have leased more farms to expand my farming to help raise more income to help improve my family's lifestyle.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I have been in a position to buy a single new seat that I now own yet I did not have it in the past. I have a desire of adding more seats in order to fill my living room as with the kind of furniture that I can be proud of instead of living in an empty living room the way I used to do in the past.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have a plan of buying household items such as a new table, a new bed, and seats. These are some of the items I wanted to possess for quite a long time now but I have never been able to have them due to lack of finances. However, with the cash transfers that I have been getting from GD, my dream of having the said items will soon be a reality once I make enough savings in the near future that can enable me to buy them.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest in my life is that the money has helped me so much in buying most of the things that I never had before. For instance, I have been able to buy new building materials like iron sheets, iron nails and timber that I will use to construct a new house in the near future. Currently I live in small house that is in a dilapidated state in addition to being too small for my family and that is why I need a much bigger house. living in this house is a shame to me because of the limited space that we have to share with my kids. I cannot even host a visitor for a sleepover at my place because there is nowhere they can spend their night at my place.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I believe I will have accumulated enough cash that will enable me to buy a goat and maybe start out by buying an additional cow. The main reason for buying the animals is because I know that they will give birth to other offspring's in the future and as a result of that their population will increase with time and I will be able to use some of them as dowry payment to my in-laws. Living with my wife without paying dowry is not a good idea because according to our traditions, a man must pay dowry to the in-laws once he marries their daughter.
