Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I do not have any new goal now but rather to buy more avocadoes seedling to plant on another piece of my land. This will increase the production in long run.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I was in a position to buy the fertilizers to use on my farm. I started a project of planting avocados trees on my farm. The production before was not good because I did not have money to buy the fertilizers and chemical that was required. Currently, I have been in a position to buy the required fertilizers and the production is much higher as compared to previous seasons. I am also in a position to pay workers who cultivated by the farm. Before I could do the cultivated alone with my family members and this was not efficient enough. I am so happy because I have a good production and I get money from the sales of the avocadoes in the market.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I would be in a position to transport my produce to the market on time without passing through the hands of the brokers which buy at a very lower price.

The biggest difference in my daily life is in the merry go round savings in my village. I had never taken part in the village saving association before because most of my neighbors would not have managed it. I feel delighted that al of us ii n the group receive an equal amount and so we all have the ability to contribute. I am glad that I was able to buy a cow as we agreed in the group. The heifer is about to calve.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to be getting a lot of income in the next six months because this will be my season of fruit production. My avocado trees will be generating a lot of income. I have a ready export market-ready. I have partnered with processing company that will buy for me and sells it outside the country. I expect to make a lot of income.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Looking back to the last four months and comparing it with my current life, I see a lot of difference and transformation in different sectors. My agricultural production has really improved for the last four months as I am currently enjoying a great harvest unlike in the past. A lot of other plans are in the pipeline currently; something which has been made possible by the increased profit margin from my produce. I am grateful to GiveDIrectly for the consistent support we have been receiving.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
For the next four months, I have a new goal to venture into aquaculture. I have was promised support from the county government that they will provide me with fingers once I construct a fishpond to completion. This is a new idea which I am working on for the first time and i am hopeful that it will be successful given that I will be getting quality fish from the ministry of agriculture in the county government.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
As a subsistence farmer, I had been working so hard to ensure that my farming is as productive as I have always wished. I have been producing fruits and tea leaves for a long time though I was undergoing some challenges when it comes to the sourcing of supplementary farm inputs. My fruit field would initially go for months without the addition of fertilizer. After receiving the transfer, this problem was solved and it is now getting better. In the last four months, I have been harvesting more fruits than ever before which is the biggest difference in my current life. this has earned me more income which then translates to more projects going forward.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
With the current plans to construct a fishpond and initiation of fish farming, I expect the project to have started in the next six months.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Our community is more cohesive and connected. Initially, we could rarely visit each other or have a communal project. Nowadays we are happier and eager to work together courtesy of GiveDirectly. I have never seen this kind of spirit in this village ever since I was born. We now mingle with young and old. Some couldn't make to my homestead but nowadays they are free and happy to come over to my place as we share one common merry-go round group. To me, this is the greatest difference in my life.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My next goal is to buy an electric water pump which will help me pump water from a well I had dug some years ago. I plan to use this water to irrigate my farm which will guarantee me more healthy crops hence more income. I will pump some to my homestead, therefore, my family won't struggle manually getting the water from the well which is usually a very slow and tiresome process
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference is that I was able to do large scale farming. I decided to plant potatoes because they are usually in high demand and they take a short period of time to mature. I wouldn't have managed to buy the materials required for the cultivation process. I feel proud of myself and I am giving this project my best to get the best out of it
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I am planning to buy a water tank in the next six months. Water shortage is the main issue in this area. I felt it is wise to buy a water tank that will harvest rainwater and store it until the next rainy season. I know I will have saved my family the menace of water shortage.

How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I have been always dreaming to be a large scale farmer in the area and I am seeing this coming to a reality. This is because of the good harvest from the avocados and potatoes.I am planning to buy irrigation pipes from the income I get from potatoes and fruits and this will expand my farming through irrigation of crops in my farm. This will ensure a good harvest and also the tea seedlings in the nursery will not dry up during the dry season. This will also boost my income.
