What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used a portion of the transfer to buy some chairs. Paid my child in high school fee. Bought 2 goats. I also purchased 2 sacks of maize for family consumption.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I now have adequate food supply from my farm. Besides, I no longer pay people to help me repair my house since I managed to cement both walls and floor of my house with the second transfer.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what GD does well is giving us cash and it is upon us to use it to fix our problems. I think what GD should also consider is continuing helping the widows like myself.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on plastering my whole house with cement since earthen plastering had become time consuming and tiring.I also paid school fees and spent what i had left on food.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is having more time to do other constructive things moreover i now live in a dust free house.

I spent my first transfer to buy mattress for 4000 KES, 90 kg of corn for 3200 KES and the remaining cash i spent to buy food for my family.

I'm planning to renovate my house with the upcoming transfer and the remaining cash i will pay school fee for my children

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I plan to buy some livestock and keep as my asset since I do not own anything since my husband died. I plan to save the rest of the transfer to pay for my two sons who will be starting secondary education next year.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
I am proud that since my husband left me in the year 2005,I have given all my seven children all the care and support that they need just alone.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My hardship is that my income is too small for my big family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is at night after dinner when listening to Christian songs played in the radio.
