How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My family is now decent and happy compared to the past when I had no money. The cash transfers have enabled me purchase clothing and basic needs for my family. secondly, the cash transfer enabled me to purchase a pair of oxen. When the rainy season sets in, I will have enough work force to till and cultivate my farmlands thus improving my agricultural outputs. I will have enough food to feed my family the dry season.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly does well to send communities cash transfers that have improved the living standards of very many families. On the other hand I can not point out any specific area where GiveDirectly is not doing well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to purchase a pair of oxen at UGX1,300,000 and UGX330,000 to purchase house hold items and food.
