How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Life was very difficult before receiving cash from GD because I did not have an income generating activity. I could not afford to provide for the wellbeing of my household in terms of feeding and other necessities. I did not have enough land to farm on since my dad had used land as collecteral security to acquire loans. Now that I received this money, my life is different because I have managed to pay off all the loans and repossesed our land. This transfer enable me buy household items like clothes, shoes, Utensils and food stuff.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did so well to give cash direct to a recipient. They provided us with phones where cash was sent. This initiative is good because it reduced corruption since money came straight to recipients.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I paid off land mortgage, bought household items, livestock and feeding
