What did you spend your second transfer on?
I bought a cow at 18,000 KES, one still door at 7,000 KES, gave 10,000 KES to my wife to boost her clothe business then bought two sacks of maize at 6,000 KES and I still have 8,000 KES in my Mpesa account.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
It's not a must that I work for others to get food as I used to do before because my wife's business is doing well and I also have some food in the house.

We (recipient and spouse) are planning to spend the upcoming lump sum on extending and upgrading our house, and buying livestock with the balance.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to buy materials to be used to rebuild my house in another area since where we are situated experiences flash floods frequently. We also plan to buy some oxen and a ploughing machine to help me when I am tilling my farm.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is having worked as a casual labourer and after saving for many years I was able to construct my own homestead.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face right now is lack of a sustainable source of income, casual labour work is difficult to come by, this often means I have no income on certain days so my family is often forced to make do with one meal a day
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is around midday, especially when I have just finished some work and I have been paid, this usually means that I can go home and have lunch for my family and this makes me very happy.
