How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I'm now sleeping in my newly constructed iron roofed house unlike before the grass thatched house my family was staying in would lick whenever it rains and we would move household items to the part of the house that is not licking
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GD cash transfers have financially empowered people in my community and our lives have greatly improved then before, and there is nothing bad it has done.

I spent my second transfer to buy Iron sheets at UGX 300,000, sand at UGX 120,000, cement at UGX 180,000, Bricks at UGX 250,000, paid construction labor at UGX 400,000, food at UGX 140,000 and savings worth UGX 243,000.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have hope of constructing an iron roofed house having bought materials.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the transfer I felt very happy.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer for buying construction materials( 2 trips bricks, 1 trip sand, 10 bags of cement), Bicycle of 180,000ugx household items( kitchen utensils, clothes) and food. I paid a debt of 300,000ugx.
