How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Currently, my life is different because I have already procured construction materials awaiting building. I'm kindly patient because there's a lot of rain apparently therefore during summer in December I will begin building it. In addition to this, I'm glad that when I received my first transfer I needed medical attention and this money enabled me seek treatment. Otherwise if it wasn't of this money I think I could have died which I thank God for GiveDirectly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my view, GiveDirectly is an honest, genuine and transparent organization because what they promised is what I have received. I pray to God to keep the organization moving forward for there are still many people who deserve this kind of assistance.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on purchasing building materials and saved some to start the construction.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be in position to build a house in the plot that I have in Bukedea town. This house will be rented out so I can get some money to take care of my medical bills and food.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the evening when I feel a little better. My eyes don't pain so much because the sun rays that effect me so much during the day will have reduced. At such a time, I am able to chat with my children since they will have finished with their activities of the day.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is sickness. I am in pain most of the time because of the many diseases that I have. I am in pain most of the time and I am not able to work. My children have always struggled to find some money to try and help take care of my medical bills and other needs yet they also have their own charllages to sort. I am just a burden to them.
