How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I intend to buy two goats as an investment next year. Since I generally go to the hospital once a month for a check-up, if I run out of money, I will sell the goats to generate funds for medication. I plan to save my transfer in bits to raise the $80 needed to achieve this goal.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly, in my opinion, does well by empowering everyone to live a healthy lifestyle through monthly financial support. In my case, the transfers allow me to obtain quality medication as well as suitable diets that improve my health.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Life has been such a struggle because of the high cost of living. Affording healthy meals has been a pipe dream because I have no source of income due to illness (I am physically handicapped). Using my most recent transfer, I purchased maize flour and other food products for $12 to keep myself and my three children from going hungry. I spent the rest of the transfer on medication. Eating balanced foods and accessing proper medication helped improve my health.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I plan to invest in farming (I will plant maize and sorghum) worth $50 for consumption in February. I will request financial support from my nephew to enable me to actualize this goal.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I like everything about GiveDirectly as it is through its transfers that I now live a decent life like a salaried person. I usually use the money to buy food and drugs for medication which do help improve my health. Besides, GiveDirectly made a good choice by giving people equal transfers hence making us co-exist peacefully.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I am suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes and usually go for a medical check-up every month using my transfers. Last month, I used $6 of my transfer for transport (to and from the hospital) and since I have to be on a healthy diet as was recommended by the doctor, I stocked maize and sorghum for food and also bought other foodstuffs. Having enough food enabled me to enjoy a balanced diet thereby improving my health.
