What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on paying school fee for my two daughters in form one and form four respectively. My community values a lot educating a girl child as they are perceived as sources of wealth in the future. I therefore opted to give their education a first priority before anything else. I know I have invested my money in as they promise me good returns at the end of their education.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has greatly changed than it would have been without the transfers as I no longer suffer looking for school fee for my daughters. More to that, all their basic needs are well fulfilled.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has made so proud with the manner in which they conduct their activities. I have loved the fact that it sets its recipients free to prioritize their needs as opposed to other NGOs that restricts recipients on what to prioritize.

We are planning to spend our transfer on school fees for our children. One child is in fourth form, and another two are in class eight and due to join secondary school next year.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I am proudest of supporting my children through their schooling, in spite of my meagre income from farming activities.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is lack of enough stock of maize, which is the staple crop around here, because the last harvest did very poorly, and I don't anticipate the current crop doing any better, since there's been a prolonged period of drought.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I am in the kitchen cooking supper for my family.
