How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is different from how it was because I am able to take care of my needs easily. I am not a bother to my neighbor unlike before where I used to borrow even the little things that I was supposed to have in my house. I feel good because I know how to go about my money.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to plaster my house. It is in bad condition and because of this, it has been home to jiggers. This is havoc because I have to spend money on treatment. Smearing it has always been a problem due to the hectic work which I have today for days too.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Lacking most of the things that I needed as a mother was devastating. I can remember the countless times that I went to borrow from neighbors. Some were receptive and others could not lend me anything. Today, the transfer has restored my joy and removed the shame that I had because I was able to buy most of the item if not all of them which is the biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months. I have enough cooking pots, cushions and even a sheep which is an investment. I can only thank GiveDirectly for financial support.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that, my house will be fully furnished. I intend to add more things in my house like seats. I won't also forget to buy more decent clothes which I will wear in very important occasions.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
In the past four months, there are days that as a household we were forced to sleep on an empty stomach. This was not in our plan but circumstances pushed us to the wall. But ever since I started receiving transfers, there has not been any incidence of lack of food unless an individual decides to starve themselves. This to me is an answered prayer and I give to GD every single day.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I currently do not have any additional goals but to ensure that my household has enough for each day.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in the past four months is that I have been able to have enough food stock in my household. This was a major challenge because before, there are days I went without food because of lack. This was never the best experience of my life. I swore to myself that I would work hard to ensure that never repeats but thanks to GD for the support I now have enough for each day.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I am seeing my family members living happily and with little or completely nill worries about what to eat. I will ensure that food security is at the top notch and sources of income well defined to ensure a surplus at all times. I expect my family to be happy and healthy.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was because I no longer borrow items from my neighbours whenever I have visitors. I have peace of mind and a lot of privacy since I will not be forced to explain the details about what and why some events are happening in my house. I nowadays have a private life which has been my biggest desire for a long time.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to buy sheep. I settled on buying sheep because they are affordable and easy to maintain. They do not require a lot of attention and can survive in harsh climatic conditions. Their food is locally available hence the main reason as to why I chose to rear sheep. I will sell some of them later on which will help me meet some of my long term goals. It will also help in taking care of my daily needs.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that I was able to buy most items that I did not have like utensils and cushions for my seats. Lack of utensils made us eat in turns. Apart from that seats without cushions are very uncomfortable. I am glad that I was able to purchase them because as a farmer, I could not have saved money and bought the items. I could not pressure my husband too, who has a business of making bricks because he was offsetting pending school fees. I am happy that I was able to chip in and help him.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect my life to change in that I will have built a decent kitchen. The current one is in a bad condition and very dangerous because of its old condition. It doesn't look good therefore I have decided instead of repairing it I will just build a new permanent one which will last for a long time. I will be the happiest woman in the community whose cooking place will be at her best.
