What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to pay school fees for my third year course at the university. I am taking a degree course in business management and using some part of the transfer to buy furniture for my house and some clothing.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have been able to clear school fees for my third year course at the university. Were it not for GiveDirectly,I could not have manged to clear the fees. I an hopeful that I will have a bright future.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent most of my first transfer on buying a goat and 2 sheep as an investment for future school fees for my younger brother who is under my care.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was resting at home after a tiresome day at work where I earn 200 KES when I got the transfer notification. You can imagine how I felt knowing that I had 10,000 KES , money that I had never handled before at my disposal.

I have plans of taking my brother to a teaching course and to use the rest in buying food.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
I have been able to take good care of my family just through labour work and tried to remain independent, this has made me to be so proud of myself.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I am a total orphan and the second born among four children. I took the portion of my parents and ensuring that the home remains steady and my siblings get whatever they require has so far been the biggest headache in my life.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the evening when we are all seated with the family and able to share a meal together.
