Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Being able to buy a sewing machine for my husband is the biggest difference in my daily life. This is because he now does his own business and does not need to depend on other people to determine his income. He is now a happy man. Prior to getting this money, my husband had to go work for some other people that later stressed him and he would come home stressed. From the time he got his own machine, I have not seen him stressed.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt happy the moment I received my money because GiveDirectly has given me money.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to buy a cow at Ugx 650000. I then partially got back my farm land at Ugx 600000. Together with my husband we used Ugx 200000 to boost our clothe business. I also bought a second hand sewing machine for my husband at Ugx 150000. I later bought some house hold items such as mattress, and a source pan.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means to buy a cow and complete my iron-roofed house. I currently do not have any asset to rely on for money hence whenever an issue arises , Iam unable to contain. My family stays in a dusty rooms that causes flue. When I buy a cow it will produce and mulitply. I will be selling some of the off-springs for educating my children in future. These will enable them acquire knowledge for managing their family problems. Also completing the house by cementing and plaster will make my family members have acomforble accommodations to live hence reduction in flue.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is evening hours. When I finish both domestic and garden work, we gather and chat some development plans with my family members. This has brought about shared responsibilities at my place and there is less stress.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is lack of income generating activity. My house does not have items like utensils and proper beddings since I do not have money for purchasing. The family livingstandards are to ashaming within neighbourhood and this made us feel out of place.
