How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is better, I now sleep in an iron roofed house, I enjoy cleaning the cemented floor because I just mop it unlike before when I could smear the floor of my hut with cow dug and replace thatch for the roof yearly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly did well to give me money that I used for constructing the house. All is well, there is nothing that GiveDirectly did bad.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used my second transfer for buying a bull and construction materials (cement, timber, iron sheets a door and a window) for completing my house construction.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the relief I feel as I was able to get treatment that I had failed to get in a very long time. Knowing that my life is greatly improving makes me extremely happy and thankful that I received this money.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I could not tell what the notification was all about until I had to ask my neighbor. She checked and told me it was money from GiveDirectly. At that moment, I could not hold back my excitement as I had received money that would help me in a number of issues (most especially treatment).
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to buy some building materials such as bricks, sand, timber, iron sheets and cement. I then bought some household items such as a mattress, utensils (plates, cups, source pans). I also went for treatment since I have a urinary, chest and waist problem. I am saving up some money that I will use for reviews and as need arises.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I am going to construct an iron roof house. The termites are destroying the thatching grass which has become expensive to maintain.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening after adays work and when I have finished to eat. I go to bed when I am happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I am facing is limited land for agriculture. I am a widow and just have one piece of land for agriculture. I am not able to produce enough food to sustain my family.
