What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money is a blessing to me and my family because I believe my life will now change to the better. I have been living in this house for over 2 years and I struggle during rainy season because it leaks. I plan to use the money to buy iron sheets to improve my grass thatched roof. I know if i have an iron sheet roofed house i will be sleeping peaceful during rainy season without worrying about water leakage. This money can help me buy enough iron sheets for the house and also use the other money to buy food. I would like to add some bags of maize so that i have adequate food to last me for a couple of months coming ahead
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part part of the day is in the morning. I am happy because I am grateful to wake up alive another day. I know not every person has the chance to wake up alive. I am happy to see the children alive playing around because i know i we all have seen another day
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i have faced in my life is inadequate food for my family. I usually do not harvest much maize because i can not afford to buy fertilizer. A bag of fertilizer is over K20000 and that is a lot of money for me to find as i do not have anything to do bring me money. The maximum number of bags i can harvest is 3 which can only last for 5 months. Sometimes we eat once a day to maximize the food we have so that it can take us some more days but that is not easy to do especially for the children
