What did you spend your third transfer on?
Yes, on a house, school fees and food. I used my second transfer to build a 2bedroom house with cement and iron sheets because the one I had before was built with madhouse and was small and leaking. I also paid school fees for my children and bought food for my family.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Poor feeding was the order of the day, but after receiving transfers we are able to feed well. Also I have been able to pay school fees for my children. I am happy.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
It is well and good to send money to the poor via mobile money unconditionally. Everything is good about GiveDirectly.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
Oh Yes, 2 cows, building materials and food! I used my second transfer to buy cows for my children's school fees in future, and building materials for a 3 bedroomed house from the one I have been having which is very smaller for my family. I also bought food for my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Being able to have descent meals at my home is the biggest difference in my life. I used the transfer to buy food for my family. I am happy.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I used my first transfer to pay school fees for our children. We also bought a solar panel for lighting since buying paraffin on a daily basis was costly and also to enable me charge my phone
What are you planning to spend your upcoming transfer on?
I am planning to spend my next transfer on building a big descent house so that we can shift from the small old house we are currently living in.

I am planning to spend my transfer on building a new house out of brick that is better than this old mud house.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is the money which I am getting from Give Directly, it is a great surprise and a joy that I am a recipient.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have in my life is the hunger I am experiencing this season in my family because the crops in the garden were spoilt by the weather.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is the night because we eat together as a family and converse.
