In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion Give Directly has really transformed people's life buy giving them reasonable money that can change somebody's life.
What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent most of the transfer to buy dairy-cow to get milk from it and sell it to the community. I also spent the transfer to furniture and to fix steel door and window in my new house, the remaining balance l spent to buy one sack of maize.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life different than it would have been if I never received the transfer is that, I could not have manage to have my own home where l am free to control everything, compare to when l was at my father in-law's house.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
When I received the second transfer, my family was starving; so I bought 2 bags of dry maize for food; the used the whole of the remaining amount to construct a new spacious house with a roof of 30 iron sheets, because I had a very small house before.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I now have a spacious house which I had never though I would own, and I also have enough food for my family.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to buy two sheep that cost me 6000 KES. I bought them so that i can have my own too like the others. The remaining i used to buy a sack of corn that cost me 3000 KES since the last harvesting the harvest was not so good.
What are you planning to spend your upcoming transfer on?
If i get the upcoming transfer,i would want to buy two cattle that will act as my assets. I can even sell them and take my children to school in future. I also want to build another spacious house.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
Firstly, we intend to use part of the transfer to buy two bulls that we intend to use together with the other two that my uncle has, that we would use to plough our farms instead spending money on hiring. Secondly, we plan to use another part of the transfer to build a house in our piece of land so that we have our own home as required by the tradition. Lastly, we plan to use the remaining balance to pay school levies for our two children in primary school.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement we're proudest of is that through our farming activities, we have been able to keep our family stable despite the difficulties we have gone through.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship we're facing currently is unreliable source of income that has seen us at times go without food.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the afternoon after I have come from the farm and I relax with my mother-in-law chatting.
