How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I have been in position to construct an iron roofed kitchen and plaster my semi permanent house. Before, the rains had started weakening the wall that would have caused the house to fall since it was not plastered. I didn't have money to seek proper treatment and construct an ironed roofed kitchen.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well to give financial support which enabled me build an iron roofed kitchen, buy food and pay medical bills . GiveDirectly has not done anything bad.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent UGX 600,000 of my transfer to buy building materials and pay for construction labour of a kitchen. My wife has become lame so I decide to construct an iron roofed kitchen since she can not look for thatch again given her condition. I bought food at UGX 400,000 for the family, paid medication bill at UGX 200,000 and I have saved UGX 300,000 to spent later on agriculture.
