What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
The transfers offers me a great opportunity to change my life positively. First, I plan to purchase a chain link for fencing my compound. I will use about $100 of the transfers to do this. Since my house has been eaten by termites and brings fear of falling in future, I plan to purchase Iron sheet to build myself a new house. I intend to use about $800 of the transfers to accomplish this. For the remaining amount I intend to purchase food and other household needs. This will sustain me for months since food shortage has been a challenge for me due to the prolonged drought.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In my daily life, waking up with good health pleases me so much. I'm always happy when I wake up healthy with the ability to do daily chores.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The main challenge I'm facing at the moment is disturbance from livestock from my neighbours. Since I built my house in 2008 I have been living in a open compound without a fence since I did not have money to purchase barbed wire and posts. This has led to livestock roaming in my compound freely which irritates me greatly. I can't even plant flowers and trees in my compound.
